Friends of Rhŵs Primary (FORP)
FORP is the Parent/Teacher group of Rhŵs Primary School whose aim is to raise funds for the school by putting on fun events for the children and wider community of Rhoose. We are an open and friendly group of parents and staff working towards a common goal: supporting the education and wellbeing of the children of Rhws Primary School. We organise a range of events throughout the year including barbecues, discos, Christmas card design orders, raffles, quizzes, bingo nights, fashion shows, sponsorship events and summer fetes.
Over the years our fundraising activities have enabled us to purchase the following items for the school including:

- Tepee flooring
- Smart TVs
- Security gates
- Wildflower meadow and outdoor projects
- Nutrition pod furniture
- Maths curriculum resources
- Outdoor buildings
- Chromebooks
- STEM week transport
- Christmas selection boxes
- Rangers tools
- Annual donation to year 6 leavers week
- Reading books
- Maths and English online learning software
- Sound system and listening centre
- Cameras
- Sand pit for the Nursery
- Equipment for Nursery sensory room
- Loudspeaker for sports day
- Drying racks for paintings
New members and volunteers are always very welcome and there are many ways you could get involved, and how involved you would like to be is up to you.
We meet once every half term to plan the forthcoming events and if you have ideas to share or want to know more about the group please come along to our next meeting. If you want to help us fundraise for the school but don’t have a lot of time to spare you could also become a FORP volunteer who helps run stalls at our events.
